Dana R. Gache´ practices in the areas of general corporate and business matters, corporate and entity formations, corporate law, and health care regulatory compliance. Dana's health care advisory experience includes representing numerous multi-specialty physicians, practice management companies, managed care networks, health maintenance organizations, hospitals, nursing homes, durable medical equipment companies, and other health care organizations in matters involving formation and operations; certificate of need review; Stark and Medicare fraud and abuse compliance; federal and state regulatory compliance; development and implementation of compliance programs; reimbursement, billing, and contractual issues relating to Medicare, Medicaid and third party payors; antitrust compliance; mergers and acquisitions; and formation and contracting with managed care joint ventures.

Dana received her bachelor's degree, cum laude, in history/general business from the University of Montevallo in 1992, her masters in public health from the University of Alabama in Birmingham in 1995 and her law degree from the Cumberland School of Law in 1995.

Over her career, Dana has lectured on many health care issues before the Medical Group Management Association (both local chapters and at numerous state meetings), the American Cancer Society, the Birmingham Association of Underwriters, the Alabama Radiology Association and the Shelby County Mental Health team. Dana also co-authored the "Corporate Practice of Medicine, A 50 State Survey," for the National Health Lawyers Association and authored many articles in local and state publications relating to corporate compliance programs, qui tam actions and general health law updates. Dana is a member of the Alabama Bar Association, the American Health Lawyers Association and the American Bar Association.

Prior Experience
Dana has worked for and with many law firms in the Birmingham Area. After graduating from law school in 1995, Dana worked for Sirote & Permutt, P.C., a full service law firm in Birmingham, Alabama. She has also worked at Walston & Wells, LLP and Dempsey, Steed, Stewart, Ritchey & Gache´, LLP. Ms. Gache´ is still affiliated with The Gache Law Firm, P.C.
